Ben Balint
Managing Director & Chartered Engineer
Ben Balint is our Managing Director and Chartered Engineer. He obtained his Masters of Engineering with Honours in Civil Engineering at Coventry University winning, local, national and international awards for outstanding structural design. He is a current Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
His prior experience of many years as a carpenter and contractor provides him with valuable insights into site challenges. Post graduation, he worked for reputable consultancies on a variety of projects ranging from small extensions to large scale projects of national interest.
Ben recognised a gap in the market, noting that numerous questions arising during the construction phase could be addressed during the design stage by providing sufficient visual aids to support builders and self-builders. That is the reason he set up Your Structures Ltd in 2019 offering affordable, high-quality structural design. He did this whilst balancing his professional growth with family life as a busy father of four.
Alex Goode
Senior Structural Engineer
Alex Joined Your Structures in 2021 and brings domestic and commercial experience to his role. He gained a master’s degree in civil and structural engineering from Coventry University attaining a distinction along with a first class in his undergraduate studies.
Alex draws on previous experiences working on site and has a keen eye for structural detailing. Alex’s interests are in sustainable design with a fondness for designing with timber, ensuring we are working towards our low carbon goals.
Alex has worked across a spectrum of sectors from residential, commercial, and industrial. Alex has a strong background designing complex steel connections and has worked on several elaborate ‘grand design’ type projects.
Blessy Bright
Structural Revit Technician
Blessy joined the company in January 2023. With a degree in Civil Engineering, she brings valuable expertise in Revit and other software’s, leveraging them to ensure precision and efficiency in project delivery.
Blessy has previous experience designing and coordinating detailed BIM models for both commercial and residential projects. In addition, she has a keen interest in creating visually compelling presentations of projects.
Katie Rowell
Office Manager
Katie joined Your Structures in 2021. She graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a first class with honours in Occupational Therapy. Katie worked for several years in the mental health charity sector and later worked for a local church in Latin America.
This background has contributed to her strengths in communicating with clients. Katie also assists the team with financial administration. Her attention to detail and teamworking supports the business to run smoothly and efficiently.
